I have a 1996 dodge ram 1500. Here lately it's been spitting n sputtering n lack of power when I accelerate I been told it could be the file filter. Where is that located.? Under the driver side door mounted on inside of frame? Plz gett back ASAP

Our dodges have the fuel filter in the tank. There's not one on the frame. Hit/ kick the bottom of your tank a few times and see if it runs any better. If so u have crud in the tank

No pun taken.....lol but yes a bad tank of fuel will kill a pump easy. I only buy gas from high named gas stations like pilot or speedway

I choose only exxon/mobil, shell or bp

there is a website (forget the name) that has gas ratings (top tier gas.com?)

shell and mobil are the near the top

I run only 93 octane...so its shell vpower or mobil premium 93

mom and pop shops might be cheaper than big companies, but the quality is up at namebrand places

funny thing is, my "bad" tank of gas came from a torco station which sells race gas

you would think it would be good stuff, but my truck hated it
