Poor Sound Quality with cell phone

2014 Ram 1500 with the UConnect 5.1 system. Samsung Galaxy SIII phone, FWIW.

When I use bluetooth to make handsfree calls, I can hear the other person just great. But I usually get complaints on their end that they can't hear me very well.

Anybody have problems with the microphone on the hands free phone system? Is there any kind of adjustments that can be made, or aftermarket microphones added?

Can't be of much help other than to say I have the same issue with the 8.4AN system.

Other side can't hear me well, so I just don't use it.

I've seen this issue happen on many hands free stereos with phones that have the noise cancelation.

I've had that same issue before with previous Samsung phones.

I have the Samsung Note 3 and no complaints so far.

Where is the microphone anyhow?

For me, if I'm sitting back in my seat and talking, the person on the other end has a hard time hearing me. When I lean over toward the mic, no problems.
