Here is a video of a noise I get when truck is sitting in place and I just turn the steering wheel slowly back and forth. I get this click. It sort of sounds like the noise I get when turning left, but amplified much louder and I can feel it in the floorboard and the steering wheel when it happens. Sometimes the noise is moderate and at times it is very loud.

Could this little noise be the cause and it just amplifies when turning left?

Also did you install the lift or have someone install it for you. With the new Zone tie rod ends they require the inner tie rod to be cut down

Myself and my buddy with a shop did the install. We did trim down the tierod the 5/8" that zone called for. It calls to trim it from the outer tie rod end, not the inner, at least thats what the instructions imply.

Ok you cut the inner tie rod that rules that out. Are the washers installed on the top of the strut tower? (the 3 bolts from the top hat spacer)
If you video from outside the truck it would be more helpful. Lay your phone on the ground and turn the wheel. From the video it sounded like nothing was wrong with the suspension and it was all in the steering column

Yes, I heard a lot of horror stories about the Bilsteins and installing the washer in the wrong spot. We made sure to get the washer in the right spot. I will get a video tomorrow as its dark here now.

I wonder if I pull the Bil's out and set them down to like 1.4 or 2.1 and see if that helps?

Or I could do something like this here and completely remove the Bils and install these. They eliminate all spacers while giving you 6" of lift. I would lose 2" of heigh, which I really don't want to do though....

I just don't know what is causing this damn noise!!!!

I got a video of the noise I was talking about. I couldn't really see anything blatantly that would be the issue while the wife drove truck for me. It sounded like it would almost click in the back, then a few seconds later would click in the front towards the middle?

Seemed to be every time I could reproduce that sound in the front when turning left, I would always hear that initial click coming from the rear of the truck.

What do you guys think this sound, sounds like?

Anyone see anything from the pics that looks out of place, or not sitting right?

Anyone detect the noise from the video and might have an idea of where to start?

I have a '12 1500 and after i had the bils installed at 2.1 when i turn to the left i have a slight pop aswell. I can feel it in the steering wheel and floorboard. I dont think its as loud as yours is though. I just have bils at 2.1. Nothing else.

Today it also happened when I turned wheel to the right, first time its ever done that. Not sure if its getting worse, or what the cause is. Seems the issue could be getting worse.

This noise is driving me crazy, I just want it fixed!!!

I suspect you may be hearing the turn stop on the control arm binding against the stop on the knuckle. Will happen at full lock when you lift and change the front end geometry. Looks like fresh metal exposed there on the lower control arm. Just a suspicion though.

I wonder if the end of your axle is hitting that spot on your control arm when you make the hard turn?? Or if it’s your axle cv joint that is popping/clicking. That’s pretty close to the noise that the joint popping in and out would make. If you grab your axle in the middle of it, does it have a lot of play if you pull and push it towards the engine or away from the engine??
