Positive ram story

With all the negative I see on the forum I thought I would give a positive. In 2018 I bought a 2017 ram 1500 hemi 8 speed. Got sick so only put on 1000 in first year. This June I put on some more aggressive tires, hooked on a small trailer and ran to tuktoyaktuk in Canada on the artic ocean. 8000 km of which 2000 km was gravel/mud roads. Heavy rain and mud turned heavy enough to require 4x4 for a portion of the gravel. Mud gravel mix jammed in the rear wheels enough to rip the weights off. Truck was flawless the whole trip.

Yes I have washed. Jacked up about a foot, took all the wheels and spent 3 afternoons pressure washing the underneath.

Good news is she's not even broken in yet, many more trips to go.
I noticed an exhaust pipe out the side. Didn't it come with dual exhaust?

The truck is an outdoorsman. In 2017 you could still get one in Canada. Maybe using up last bit of outdoorsman parts. In any event it works out well for my gravel road mudflaps.

What a great road trip! Well done and way to get off the beaten path!

We used to live in Alaska and drove to the L48 once a year or so. In one particularly wet section I remember seeing a couple of guys on Harleys covered with about the same amount of mud - not quite wheel-cloggin' mud but coated pretty good. I don't think they were happy...

It came with 20” polished alum but the wheels in the pick are take offs for the off-road tires.

You could get a “monotone ourdoorsman” no cost option, with chrome bumpers, normal wheels, and all one body color.

^^^That is what mine is. White, chrome bumpers but it came with black wheels.

I dont know if I can top his story-but i have owned mine for 7years and delivered firewood for those 7yrs without one issue and my truck still drives as new-have loaded the bed and towed a trailer full of hardwood at the same time and she still cleans up real nice.
