power door lock problem

Has anyone ever heard of this when I use my door locks from the master switch they will lock and unlock but when I turn the truck off and open the inside door handle to get out the locks unlock seems normal ... Then if I try to lock the doors with the master switch nothing happens no lock or unlock this is a new switch also. Anyone ever heard of anything like that ? It is a 2012 1500 quad cab

I believe this is a feature to keep you from locking your keys/fob inside of the truck.

The keys are in my hand when it does this if that was the case you would think the unlock would work

I would agree with sportyjames. It seems the most likely cause as they're within proximity of the inside of the truck, so the truck is thinking that you're going to lock the keys in the truck. Now, if you put the keys on the bed for a minute and tried the same thing and it happened, then I would wonder what the cause is.

Yea I put the keys on the back bumper master lock switch still would not work pass side did work. I don't understand why it only happens after I drive it and open the door from inside and the locks pop up then that switch does nothing .When I come back to the truck and unlock with remote switch works fine ....... weird

Trying to figure this out I notice that when I open the door with the inside handle and try to lock them with door button nothing .. But if I close door than open it the door lock buttons work fine . What the heck
