Well, I must have the RAM bug bad... The truck is a 2014 Longhorn 1500, I have only had the truck since June. I was looking at my downloaded Window Sticker and noticed that it says "Power Folding Mirrors" under Exterior Features. So, I thought - let's check the Build Sheet. So I looked at that (using the search function) and found that it says "Power Chrome Trailer Tow Mirrors." Well, I am very sad because the truck does not have power folding mirrors. :(:(:(

It does have Trailer Tow Mirrors with turn signals, but not power folding. What happened to my power folding mirrors? The truck was originally sold in Canada, but I can't imagine that has anything to do with it.

Power folds probably went away when you got a "tow package": sure it doesn't show on the build sheet as a "delete"? I'm not sure to this day that RAM sells power folding tow mirrors.

I think I read somewhere that if you have the tow package which includes the tow mirrors you lose the power fold mirrors

You can’t have power folding tow mirrors on a 1500 cuz they weren’t an option. The truck might of had standard power folding mirrors but adding the tow package deleted them for the tow mirrors.

OK, I suppose that makes sense, as they say, "It is what it is." Under OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: Trailer Tow Mirrors and Brake Group it says "Power Chrome Trailer Tow Mirrors." Sounds a bit confusing to me, but if that's the deal, I cannot change it, and I don't have power folding mirrors. They would be handy at times.

Thank you for the clarification.

From what I've read it's possible to add power fold tow mirrors with AlfaOBD. 1A Auto sells replacement power fold tow mirrors that are PnP replacements for the factory standard power fold mirrors. The door modules may have to be changed and the adjust switch will need to be added. They will look and act like the OEM counterparts but also be power fold.
There are several posts about people adding the power fold mirrors.

I believe if your truck came with factory power fold mirrors and you add 1a auto's powerfold tow mirrors, they should work without any additional modules or flashing.

The only thing he would need to do is have the code added that tells the truck what position the tow mirrors are in when adjusting them..... down or up.

If you read the OPs post, he specifically states his truck has the factory towing mirrors, those are not power folding.

Thank you all for the discussion. I am intrigued by adding power folding tow mirrors. I may have to add that to my list of future upgrades (the list is getting long).

If you go to the alfa OBD thread it will have all the information you will need to enable the power fold code. Power folding tow mirrors were not an option in 2014 but they were an option in later years and those mirrors will work on your truck. Power fold regular mirrors were an option in 2014. As stated by having the tow mirrors the power fold option was automatically not enabled. You can easily enable the power fold code in your BCM with the alpha tool as stated or in your case since your truck is a Longhorn it may be in your available options list for the dealer to add but there is no guarantee. The correct sales code the dealer would need to enable is the LER power fold code. You would also need to replace the master door switch and both door modules with the correct ones in order for it to work plus of course purchase power fold tow mirrors. Another thing to note is make sure the mirrors you purchase are memory capable mirrors so your tilt in reverse and memory mirror settings will still function. The mirrors will have a white connector and a black connector. If the white connector has more than four wires it's a memory mirror. If it doesn't then it's not memory capable.
