My 2012 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi seems to lost some power. It only has 40,000 miles. No check engine light and idles/runs fine. Transmission doesn't seem to slip or be malfunctioning. Does have the original spark plugs, I would think those but no misfire codes.

Two things I'd suggest are:

1. Clean your throttle body.

2. Inspect your spark plugs and check the gap.

Good luck.

Page 680 of your manual..

32,000 Miles (52,000 km) or 24 Months Maintenance Service Schedule ❏ Change the engine oil and engine oil filter. ❏ Rotate the tires, rotate at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before 32,000 miles (52 000 km). ❏ Replace the engine air cleaner filter. ❏ Replace the spark plugs (3.7L and 5.7L Engines).

So my guess is you have nickel plugs and not iridium, you are over 10k miles or 8 years over peak performance there. You should put back nickel as well and not use iridium unless you swap coil packs. Run 89 gas?

Hemi spark plug interval is a cruel joke for us pre iridium rams.
