power running boards

I did the install on my 2017 PW. Took me about 7 hours. Its not hard just time and patience. Thought i could get it done in a couple of hours lol. Came out great though. You will need a 90 degree drill fyi

I'm interested also. The videos I found on youtub shows some holes in the frame rail that my 2019 does not have. Along with instructions to drop a plate through a hole, and using some screw type rivets. Mine does not have all those holes.

Mine has three sets of three studs used for mounting running boards. I can't determine if current model AMP steps rely on those existing studs, or not.

I had a pair of AMP put on yesterday. Was gonna do it myself, but my local aftermarket shop could put them on same day, so I figured they could do a way better job than me. It was a bit pricey at $1,700 but hardware and labor came with a 5 year warranty. I think they look great!

The full running boards on my truck protect the sides from stuff thrown up by the front tires that gets past the fenders and flaps. Having the running board retract would eliminate this protection for the side of the truck and why would someone pay more to have less protection?
