Buying this month. Curious on a fair price. Here is one that was sent to me. Was told off the lot price would be 50,000. Seems high without the leather .

Dont use out the door price... sales tax and license varies so hard to tell what is fair from state to state...

So whats the truck only cost... i would say though that its probably a fair price depending on sales tax rate

Agreed. Sale price tells all. Send me your zip code and I can look up invoice for you.

That seems like kind of a ******* unit. Low volume truck in an even lower volume color with RamBoxes and a hodge-podge of options that don’t really make sense. If this truck is theirs and they’re not dealer trading it in for you, they should be begging you to buy this thing, especially during truck month. But who knows, maybe the truck market is just that different between MD and TX. I know if that were a truck on MY lot and someone had their hand on the door handle, I’d never let them take it off. Hell, my GM was nervous as hell that I ordered my PW that stickered for $63k in fear that if I didn’t buy it we’d be stuck with it forever!

For reference, I ordered mine for $1000 under invoice. I did have to go to 3 dealers to fine one that would go below invoice on an order. You will always get a better deal from the dealer that has the truck.

I've been following along. My opinion is the first price is never the best price. I don't care if your selling cars or lemonade, it's just part of the negotiations. Don't know if this helps you but that my 2 cents.

Good luck with your purchase.

Sounds like intentionally hiding the sale price... probably not a good deal... honest dealers give you a breakdown of taxes and fees...

Its like the monthly payment trick... shrewd in my book

So I did the research for you. The Invoice on that truck is $52,711. The only current RAM incentive I see for Houston,Tx is $2000 Consumer Cash. $52,711 - $2000 = $50,711. I think the price they are offering is a fair price considering they don't own the truck. How far is the dealer that has the truck? I would give them a call and see what there best price would be.

FYI, Looking on the RAMTrucks.com web site, I didn't see that truck listed.

My sticker price was 62k and i got them down to 52k. I did give them 30k down so maybe that helped.

Down payment has zero affect on sales price. If anything, we DONT want you to put money down. The more you finance, the more we make.

@IRSmart I know this is an old thread but is there any chance you could get the invoice prices on two trucks for me? I'm on the fence between a 2018 pw and a Cummins crew long bed. I know the PW will be a little cheaper but I'm also trying to balance what I need vs. want. Thanks.

Judging by the two trucks you have chosen, neither of them are what you need, but both are what you want lol.

Want and need are two different beasts lol. I figure buy once, cry once. I'll probably never push the limits of either truck but I'm leaning towards the Cummins. I'm looking a new job which will put me on the highway most of the way to work so I know I need the engine to last the miles. Plus I seem to have found a decent deal on one close-ish to me. I say decent because I think we can all agree we want to pay less all the time at any offer. Lol
