4,000 plus RPM'S daily getting my PW up and down a 40.5 mile section of a mountain highway summit that I live off of. There's no way of driving the PW out here in the Rockies without some substantially higher RPM. It's needed to obtain the right power range to climb without the lugging of the engine and occurs when one downshifts it into a lower gear to prevent the burning up of the brakes.
