Did the same thing several months ago on my company truck 1500 SLT spare key fob. I thought OH CHIT!!!! Then tried it and it worked. Went through the dryer cycle too. Maybe that helped?

Good for you! I dropped mine in a puddle before. I made sure it was thoroughly cleaned and dried. Luckily it still worked.

I once washed/dried an SD card full of pictures and they were still all on the media and just fine.... I was amazed. I almost didn't even bother to try it.

The key fob is amazing. If you don't have a backup you might want to get one. I'd have to think there's been at least a couple of the 9 "cat lives" taken out of it

Any know what is the battery life on the fob's? I'm only asking because at some point, it will die and I don't know if you can access the battery on it, so only other option is to replace the whole thing.

Other than that. These fob are contructed pretty well.

Just buy a whole bunch on ebay for 5 bucks and never worry about the batt. dieing. I have Lo-jack and it takes the same Batt. The LoJack fob dies every 3 months, so I have stocked up on China batteries lol
