Problem shifting into Drive on cold start

hey guys when i fire up my truck in the AM and put it into drive (foot on the brake) the truck will move forward a bit then stop. its been doing it quite a bit and the dealership has never heard of this.

anyone else experiencing this?

is this with the 8 speed? it'll jump a bit when it's cold, just have to wait like 2 min and it's good

yeah it's normal then. the 8 speed has lower gears and when it's cold the truck will idle at a higher rpm until it warms up so it's pretty much the same as applying the throttle while putting it into gear
