procal threw my truck into TCM fault- can't move the truck now

Speedo says 2mph when parked, and I can't get it to move more than 2 feet at a time. Code reader says U0001 and P1db3 fault codes. Any ideas? AEV is gone for the weekend.

Have you tried reseting the truck to factory default?

I have put the reset code in the procal, but it doesn't seem to do anything

when you connect there should be something to flash back to factory.

Well, I an program all the functions, but I get a service shifter msg, and CEL is on. If you reset, does it honk at you when that's done?

Yes. Any time programming is successful the horn honks 3 times if I remember correctly

now I'm at service shifter/trailer brake errors and it won't shift into 4th. Says to shift to park, put foot on brake and turn off engine. I've got a call into the local service sept.

I never get a honk on resetting the truck

Not sure if it'll help, but try and unhook the battery and let it sit for 15-30 min and then hook it back up. See if that'll clear the codes and reset stuff

I did unhook the battery but probably didn't leave it long enough. I'll leave it for an hour while I do other stuff.

now it's throwing a p0219- engine overspeed. And that's in park it just keeps getting better and better.

Sounds like the tune didn't take for whatever reason.

Ever have your computer hang in the middle of a windows update? Same idea.

If you can't flash it back to stock using the tuner you may have to wait till Monday to call tech support.

Pull up and look under your fuse box under the hood, make sure no critters chewed the wiring. (ask me how i know to look there first)
Also make sure the fuses are seated in good too.

im pretty sure you need a PCM swap to tune any ram 2015+. this could have something to do with it if you did not put in an unlocked PCM. are you tuning? or adjusting for speedo for tire size, etc?

Nope. I had a 2015 RAM 2500 with the stock PCM and it worked fine

I’m not familiar with Procal, but could it something this Procal thing needs to be updated?

This sounds to me like how the truck reacts with the shift switch doesn’t work properly. I have only ran into this one time but a new shift switch fixed his issue. Now with the procal in place, and a non factory tune, I would look into trying to return that to factory first then see what happens.

Also if you live in the rust belt area then check your grounds. A bad ground will cause all sorts of wonky things to happen and yes it can occur suddenly.

I've reset it to factory. None of the changes I made are in effect now. Still having issues

Did this happen as a direct result of you doing the initial programming with the Procal? Did you turn the truck to ON before plugging in the module? There was a 3 horn chirp like stated above on my truck.

You definitely do not need an unlocked PCM for the AEV Procal. Thousands of Rams and Jeeps have been programmed with these. I’ve been running mine with zero issues for almost 10 months.
