I have a local UPS driver that came in to the shop today and is wanting to do a ProCharger System on his 07 hemi .

Before I order the kit , is there any other supporting mods that go along with this install .

According to ProCharger it comes with everything needed for install even a tuner " The HO Intercooled ProCharger system is 100% complete, with supplemental injectors and programming to ensure maximum performance. "

I was thinking upgraded exhaust ect ...

Thoughts

Exhaust for sure, probably want to upgrade the springs but not 100% though. As long as it's under 6-8psi I think they would be fine. How much is it going to run? Would love one after some bv heads....

Badass!!!

I'm sure he'll be returning to you to buy a trans within 1-2 years. These truck tranny's can't handle much more power for a long time.

Also heard #3 piston doesn't like boost for some reason...

Make sure its on low boost. I would suggest heads also and a boost cam unless he wants to wait till he needs another fordged motor lol. Does that kit come with injectors? I know some do and some dont. 5 psi is a safe range for awhile but the stock ringlands are beyond thin.

not to jack the thread, but a buddy at worked convinced me this wuld be a fun and safe path if done right.

So here is what I have gathered is needed/should be done.
-procharger system
-headers in not already there
-cam designed for boost
-and upgraded heads.

Correct..?

Anyone think a 90mm TB would be needed?

I would be leary of the trans to be honest. I've read a few threads on other forms of guys running pro-chargers and turbos. Even at 5-8 lbs of boost, they are still destroying trans.

I could be wrong

Yupp these factory trans are weak. You can even kill the trans bone stock by doing too many wot runs above a certain speed(like 45) cause it goes into second prime

Dave you could get a fordged rotating asm thats been setup for lower CR and alot better for a boosted app. Only issue is your gonna need to get with a local CMR tuner to do that setup.

hemi 5.7 supercharged at 10psi
Had my trans fluid and filter changed after 27k miles and it still looked like new. Its boosted at 10 psi with forged pistons and rods. I dont thrash on my truck so that may be why its holding up so well after 10 years. I really dont think it needs any more mods except the limited slip rear im getting installed on Tuesday. Traction was really the only issue. The sc is more than enough power by itself at 500rwhp.
07 may have a higher compression ratio than the one in my 04 which may require a lower boost though.
