Programming garage door opener

I am having the hardest time programming my garage door openers on my new truck. Is there a secret other than what is written in the owners manual?

Make sure you're using the correct procedure depending on if your opener is a rolling code (99% of newer openers) or not. Which one are you having problems with programming???

I just did mine and was a breeze. Mine has the rolling code. Did both doors with no issues.

I programmed mine to my parents garage door and had to hit the button on the back of the garage door opener. My girlfriends parents was a breeze and worked with the normal procedure

Mine programmed easily enough. Button on the opener, button in the truck. I think I might have had to use the remote to get the truck to learn the signal. No secret sauce needed. It only works about half the time though.

I had to unplug my garage door opener, then plug it back in, thean follow the procedures in the book. Be sure to keep it unplugged for a couple minutes. I fought with mine for nearly an hour one day. It wouldn't program. Then I read others having the same issue and the problem was solved by the unplug. Good luck.

Thanks guys finally got it done. Basically read the instructions all the way through for the 3rd and it worked.
