It depends on the dealer. My dealer charged me 60.00 in 2016.I need to take my truck 2017 Rebel to the dealer to activate a brake controller.
As they are going to charge for an hour of service $125.00, is there anything else I should have them do?
It was in 3rd gen when I tagged you....but I'll be sure to screenshot it next timeWhat makes you say that? Looks fine to me.
For $125 you can almost buy AlfaOBD and the MX+ bluetooth dongle and do it (and a bunch more) yourself.I need to take my truck 2017 Rebel to the dealer to activate a brake controller.

AlfaOBD doesn’t work with iPhone. You’ll need an android device. An old android phone will do as it’s not a particularly complicated program that needs a ton of computing power. If you don’t have access to an android try the el cheapo Amazon Fire tablets, like the most basic one for $40 will work. AlfaOBD on a PC is not an easy program to navigate. I originally purchased the PC version but quickly found out not many people use it so there is little support. Yes you can program new key fobs with AlfaOBD. And yes you can use the MX+ with an android or PC as well as use it as a basic OBD reader with an iPhone on other vehicles.Purchasing the AlfaOBD looks like the way to go but can I get it for an Iphone or will I need the PC version? If I need the PC version can I still use the MX+?
Also besides setting up my brake module can I program new key fobs. Is there a list of what all I can do?
