Recently replaced water pump gasket as was leaking bad. I have a 2005 Hemi 5.7. The gasket is like a big rubber seal and I am thinking I should have used the permatex water pump gasket maker on the surfaces along with the factory gasket. Still leaked after reinstalling. Is it okay to use the permatex?
My other issue is that I just installed power steering pump and after removing the old, it had atf fluid. I bought power steering fluid. Most of the atf fluid is out, is it okay to use the regular power steering fluid?
