Not Sure
Hi everyone,

I got a 1997 RAM 1500 and I'm trying to take the horns off, which are up under the front bumper, but I can't seem to get any wrenches to fit the bolt heads. I can almost get a 1/2 inch to fit, but it's not a snug enough to turn the bolt. And the metric equivalent doesn't want to grab hold, either. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Put some electrical tape inside of the socket to make it fit more snugly and maybe allow you to get it off.

No dice, the thing is pretty rusted. I think I may have to take it in to the shop and have them bust it loose.

Soak it in pb blaster and let it sit, soaking it ever now and again, for a day or so. Should make it easier to remove.

^ Definitely soak it then maybe try lock jaws if you can get them on the bolts. It'd always worked for me when I had a stuck bolt.
