Good morning everyone,

First and most important statement is we will Never Forget 9/11. May all those lost souls rest in peace.

However, the topic is QTP cut out.....

I am probably going to buy one of these soon but I want to make sure others have had it with minimal issues.

I am coming from a Carven progressive on my 4th gen that I honestly loved in the City but the highway drone sucked. It was pretty loud too.

So this appears to be the best of two worlds. QTP lets you use your homelink buttons to open and close the cut out. SO I can have a quiet Laramie but also loud in the city if i want to play.

My only questions that I have is how much louder is it going to be compared to the Carven and if it will throw any codes.

I just installed the QTP exhaust cutout on my new 2021 classic.
The installation was pretty easy. You will be really happy with the results. I have other cars with performance exhaust. I get a little tired of the loud noise and drone on road trips. My truck is stock quiet when you want it. It sure as cool to hit the switch and let it blast. It will make you smile. guaranteed.

We have had a bunch of customers run them and really like them. Easy install, NO CEL, and offers the ability to go from mild to wild. It will be louder than the progressive.

We offer them. If you would like a quote on one, please feel free to message me.

do they sell a direct bolt on like Carvens mufflers or do all versions require being cut?

This is a bolt on system but unfortunately you do have to make 1 cut. You are thinking of the 4th gen RAM carven kits. The 5th Gen Carven kits require cutting as well. The exhaust configuration on the 5th gen is different than the 4th gen.

It will be louder and it will be much louder in the cab since the Carven the sound obviously exits in the rear of the vehicle where the QTP exits under the truck so you will here it much more.
