I think I'm just reading this wrong but is there two different style headlights on the 4th gens? A dual or a quad?

Or am I just confused about something.

Duals - H13 setup, single bulb per light.

Quads - H11 / 9005.

If your truck comes with the quads from the factory, the lows will stay on when you trigger the highs. If not, they go off (ie, if you switch to quads).

Being new to the 4th gen I have been noticing everyone is doing something to some light.

Is doing a quad switch out if you have duals possible/popular?

Are there as many customized dual housings?

Well, LOTs of guys here running my lights. :********:

Switching from duals to quads, SURE - lots do it! In fact, I have a few in stock that I could ship out pretty damn quick!

As for customizing the duals? Oh yeah, I've done a few there too! :roflsquared:

All depends on the style you are after!

I'll say that after the Express model came out, my dual business went WAY up!

I drew out the schematics to when switching from dual to quad headlights have the low beams stay on when you switch on the hi beams. Also can work with the fog lights. I dont know if anyone is interested. I can also make the kits that work in my truck.

I have a 2012 Express that came with the quads from the factory and my lows go off when I turn on the highs. Any ideas on this?

I have never seen an express with quads from the factory (until 2013 that is).

Yours is probably coded for duals....

Gonna have to say I like the look of the Duals done up by you JJ, look alot cleaner. The quads just look like alot going on in the housing.

I also have the instrument cluster with display screen - this was the option I asked the dealer to find for me - being the second Ram in a year I wanted to upgrade a little. In order to get the instrument cluster I had to get the trailer brake control. So I guess the quads came with that package - but it was still from the factory.

Quads on an express is a new one. Even express with the trailer brake and evic that I've seen only have duals. Wonder if a guy on the line grabbed the wrong lights

I have trailer brake & evic on my Express QC & have duals. Wish the line guy would have screwed up mine.

Yea...but what good is it if the lows don't stay on with the highs? The headlights are bad enough - I sure would prefer them on.
