I bought new b pillar appliqués for the door because they were ripped and faded. How hard are these door vinyl appliqués to install? Taking it off was easy but I am scared of having bubbles or misaligning it. I don't know how forgiving the adhesive is on it. Any experience out there?

There was a thread floating around here regarding these. A few people have removed them like you because they where cracked and peeling and they plasti dipped them instead of reinstalling them. I'm considering this too. Where did you purchase the new ones and if you don't mind me asking, how much were they?

They are pretty easy to do. I've done a ton of them. I just do one at a time so you can get it lined up with the other where it is supposed to be. You won't be able to stick it and take it back off. Got to get it right the first time.

I added them to my truck and it wasn't that difficult. Take the screw out of the end of the rubber moulding on the end of the door to give yourself more room. Use a soapy water solution in a spray bottle and lightly spray the door. Use your other side door as a template. I used a pastic bondo spreader to smooth out the bubbles. The only thing that is a little tricky is folding them under the rubber mouling on the edges but if you take your time it's realy not to bad.

Got them at the dealer. They are OEM Mopar for about $25 plus tax each. I may just keep mine ip without them.... Not sure yet.

The molding is what I am hesitant about. I had to take them and the screws out when I removed the old vinyl.

The first time is always rough and I am a stickler to details. I asked for a quote for installation at the dealer and they said it would be about an hours worth of labor for each door. There is no way I'll do that.

It is nothing you can't do on your own. Don't pay anyone to do it. Removing and cleaning the mess from the old ones is the hardest part. Get it lined up where you want, put a piece of tape on the top to hold it to the door, then when you remove the backing it will be where it needs to and you can just lay it down.
