Question on Hemifever

I sent an email to him yesterday not sure what his hours are or if he's on vacation but can anyone tell me what kind of power gains I could expect from him writing a tune for my DSP also how does the whole thing work? Thanks in advance

With what you have done (nothing really outlandish), a custom tune will optimize your combo. Factory tunes are a big trade-off on driveability, etc. The way it works, he sets you up with a tune, emails it to you, you throw it on the DSP, then load it to the truck. Do you have datalogging capability (or a wideband)? You take your datalogs from driving and email them to him, then he adjusts the tuen as necessary. If I remember right, the one price gets you unlimited updates for that particular tune.

ok honestly im not sure what exactly datalogging is. no I don't have a wideband, what kind of gains should I expect? Will it add any stress to my driveline components, trans, t-case?

Basically you plug the dsp into a laptop and drive around with a specific set of parameters that he wants you to check and send that information to him. Gains won't be much over what the tunes that are already on the dsp, a few hp more but not gobs of power but it should be tailored to your truck which will make it run better . Gains are also subjective to what you have done to your truck and how well the tune takes, the more you have done the better the results. The biggest change will be with your transmission if he has it dialed in and offers it with his tuning package. The trans tune I am running now was done by a different tuner, and has completely changed the way my truck drives to the point that it feels like a new vehicle.
