so I ordered 35w ballasts, 6000k hi/lo bulbs, a relay harness, and 2 capacitors all from hidextra.com for 67$. ive got it hooked up with just the ballasts and bulbs right now with no lamp out light on and they work perfect but id like to use what I bought or at least the relay. because with everything plugged up the relay would just click but not turn them on. so I removed the relay and then the drivers side wouldn't come on and that's when I removed the capacitors and they worked fine. ive never used a relay or capacitors on any hids ive had before but ive read its dangerous to not use a relay and the capacitors were supposed to get rid of a lamp out light if it threw one like some rams do so I went ahead and got them for 8 bucks. so I guess the question is why wasn't the relay working and do I really need capacitors like the website says? I know I had it plugged up right too.

On mine, I had to flip the plug around on the drivers side. So instead of clicking together like they are supposed to, I have the plug turned around the other way. I then taped it together.

are you talking about when you plug the relay into the ballast?
