Question

I came across a little pop off panel and seen this connector. It is in the driver mirror (basic) .Doesn't seem to be connected to anything. My question is..what are the wires for? My first thought was puddle ligh...but wouldn't make sense being that the wires are only on the driver side. Any help would be appreciated

That is the ambient air temperature sensor.

Yeah don't unplug it!! The truck not only uses it for the dash display, but for the engine too.
