QuickLearn Issues

I got the things i need to do a quicklearn with through AlfaOBD, got a BAFX scan tool & the app, but the issue i’m having is that every time i try to perform it, before i put it into OD the engine RPMs go up and the transmission starts to make a low pitched squealing sound, and naturally i get scared and shove it back into Park.

I just replaced my valve body, and i talked with trans engineer on the other forum site and he said that it’s normal for the RPMs to climb that high but it isn’t normal for it to make any sounds. Any help?

It’s normal. During the quicklearn, rpm is raised and clutches will start applying/releasing. So you’re going to hear noises and it’ll feel a little rough.

Thank you, i need to go perform it and get it fully done then. Since i haven’t let it fully go through with it it shifts very soft.
