RA2 question

I just picked up used RA2 radio to replace my RA1. Everything seems to work fine except turning off the radio. On my RA1, when you pushed the volume button the radio stayed off until you pushed it again to turn it on. On this RA2, the radio turns itself back on every time you turn the key on. Can anybody tell me if this is normal or am I missing something? Thanks.

I just recently did this same swap. From what I've read you can't turn these radios off since they are tied into more of the trucks systems.

You are correct the RA2, RA3 and RA4 radios cannot be turned off.
