If I keep my headunit and I am going the dsp route (I have a ms-8) what do I need to do to get the proper line for the sound? Will that work and I woudnt need to change my headunit or buy a lockpick or something like it?

a lockpic type device is only to get video signal into the factory head unit.

im not familiar with the ms-8 but unless it has built in resistance you will need to add resistors going from the head unit to the ms8. these head units dont put out sound unless they see the resistance. i tried on my '15 200 do just cut and put a loc in line and wouldnt work.

MS-8 has high level inputs like a LOC so as long as your radio sees proper resistance you can wire the speaker outputs from the radio to the high level input harness on the MS-8

Stock speakers are 4ohm I believe so I would start there. Nominal load will be anywhere from 3 ohms to 5 ohms.

I think the MS-8 does it already. I have seen a few builds using the Ms-8 and no mention of it.
