I just did a coolant flush on my 2011 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi.
I also replaced the thermostat and the radiator cap while I was at it.
I noticed the radiator cap I took off was 16 psi and the radiator cap the parts store gave me was 18 psi.
So my question is can I run the 18 psi radiator cap without any negative effects or should I look for a 16 lb radiator cap?
I searched all the parts stores in my area and all of them sell 18 lb radiator caps and none of them sell 16 lb radiator caps.
I’d have to order a 16 lb radiator cap online to get one.

The extra 2 psi isn't going to hurt anything, actually raises the boiling point of the coolant. Lots of newer vehicles use 21 psi rated caps
