So I recently purchased a 2014 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi Laramie and I noticed the radiator fan is pretty loud when I get on the gas. At lower RPMs it's not so bad, but if I get on the throttle, the fan gets kind of over bearing. I don't even hear the engine, just the fan going. Once the truck shifts though, it's just fine. I only notice it once I start getting on the throttle. I've seen some posts saying it could be the fan clutch, but those posts make it seem like their fan is loud 24/7. Mine is only when I'm getting on it. Is it the same, or if not, any ideas?

PS
I test drove a 4th Gen Laramie Longhorn once and I noticed the same thing while driving that, except after driving for a bit it kind of went away during the test drive. Some guys I know who have less fancy trims said they don't have any issues with it, so I was wondering if it's just something to do with the fancier trim or if it's something wrong with the truck.

Hi @Kamren - If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.

Somebody could have swapped out the OEM fan clutch for an aftermarket. I have both a new OEM fan clutch and a Hayden. Hayden is very loud, but also cools much better when towing, OEM is very much quieter but also doesn’t start to engage when towing until it’s much warmer than I’m comfortable with. Gonna ****can both and go with a V6 efan.
