Good morning everyone. Im a new member with a Dodge Ram 1500 V6 Manual shift, with 150k miles. I was never a pickup truck kinda guy til I got this truck a few years back and I love it.
On way to work this morning I wound out first gear over a dip in the road and next thing I know my windshield was covered in spray as if I hit the washer fluid knob. I cleaned it off with wipers and continued on my way not paying much attention to it.

I get to a light a ways down the road and theres some smoke coming from engine. I check temp gauge and its 3/4 way towards Hot. It never goes past halfway mark.

I babied it to work as it climbed closer to Hot and when I park smoke is spewing out the from upper driver side of radiator. Theres a hose with metal fitting between the radiator and the fan, and I think its coming from the fitting. Cant say for sure though.

So my question is how do I pinpoint the problem and fix this.

Could the pressure from winding out in first gear have caused pressure to blow a fitting or hose or radiator fin? I still dont know exactly where leak is so Im hoping for suggestions to point me in right direction.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I would inspect the hoses and make sure everything is tight then top off the radiator. When you start the truck check to see if anything is leaking. It sounds like it didn't get too hot so hopefully everything else with the engine is good. Welcome to the Forum.
