Is this the main upper radiator coolant hose ? I got a safety pin size hole n I need it replaced just dont know what kinda hose I'm lookin for

Yes that is the upper radiator hose.

When it comes to radiator hoses....Auto zone will do...or any parts store. Factory usually is the "best" choice....but pricier. Brakes from the factory, ya a good investment...but radiator hose....auto zone.

Yea. That is a plane jane item. No need for expensive. If I remember the upper hose is not under a lot of pressure.

Yea. That is a plane jane item. No need for expensive. If I remember the upper hose is not under a lot of pressure.

Actually the top, or upper radiator hose, is the outlet for the water pump, along with the heater hoses, is the pressure side of the system. The lower, or inlet hose, at the bottom of the radiator, is the water pumps suction side that can collapse a weak hose. This is the reason the bottom hose is either thicker walled, or contains a coiled spring inside, to prevent total collapse of the hose. If it was my truck, I would replace both hoses at the same time.

Thanks for sorting that out. I knew the bottom hose had to be heavier. Got the reason wrong. I agree with changing both.
