I was on my way home and my radio shut off, then I heard a pop and started smelling a burnt smell and smoke. I pulled my radio and saw some wires had melter together (not sure how) I fixed those and replaced the fuse but when I turned it on there was smoke from behind the gauges and the fuse blew again. Any ideas what to do?

You probably have more burnt wires in the dash harness. What fuse is blowing?

I've previously had to remove the dash on a 2nd gen Ram that came into the shop because they had a short, but decided to "fix" it by installing a higher amp fuse. It turned their wiring into a fuse. Not sure how they didn't burn the truck to the ground based off of how much stuff it burnt. I had to rebuild about 50% of the dash wiring harness wire by wire.
