My xm radio and apple car play are not working all of a sudden. It was working this morning but this last time I went to the store it gave me no sound at all. I can get AM and FM to work but nothing from my xm radio and nothing from apple car play. I tried giving voice commands to get directions and it did not work. Then I tried playing music from my phone and got no sound even though it showed the song was playing. I have just tried resetting the signal for xm but that does nothing so far. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas how to get it to work again?

I have the 8 in infotainment system in my 2019 1500 classic BH, and I recently got an update for it. It said it was updated correctly about a week or two ago and was working fine until today.

There have been several people having issues after the latest update. I would recommend contacting your dealer asap and tell them the latest update may have bricked your radio. I'm assuming your truck is hopefully still under warranty. There are also several other posts of people having several different issues after the mandatory update. @RamCares has been reaching out to people on the forum to try to offer some assistance. This should be addressed and corrected by FCA due to the fact that the update is forced and then causes issues.

When you do go to the dealership
Don't tell them to pull the radio to fix it

Just make make suggestions

If you tell them to do anything, then they will do just that & charge you for it, even if that was not the problem

it started working again this afternoon. Some glitches still like the apple car
play screen went black for a bit when I tried to put it on google maps but then it started working too. Not sure what to make of it. I’ll still take it in on Monday and see if they find anything. I’m not telling them to do anything. I’m just telling them what happened and see if they can do anything to keep it from happening again.
