I have a 19 classic and when sitting still sometimes the radio volume goes up and down on its own. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a 19 classic. It was doing this Saturday while I was cleaning my truck. I thought it was my imagination. I have no idea what would cause this. I have had a 04, 09, &15 Ram and this is the only one that has done this. Will be tuned in to see if someone figures this out.

There is a setting on your radio, in menu that you can turn on or off that automatically adjusts volume when vehicle stops or windows down or something, I just remember seeing it.

I don't know how it works to sense when truck is moving. If you are moving around inside while cleaning or stopped and get wind buffeted by a semi going by or something maybe it cause the volume to change. Or maybe just a glitch in software.

I leave mine turned off so I don't know much about it, but did notice it is there, and if on in your truck I think it might could cause this.

Yeah there is a setting in your radio to turn this feature off. I forget what it’s labels as exactly, but I’ve turned mine off (I think it’s like “automatic volume control” or something like that). Basically when the vehicle reaches certain speeds the radio volume will increase to help offset any road/wind noise you may experience. I find this feature annoying on any vehicle it’s available in.

I have the "automatic volume control" or what ever it is called turned off, but my radio sounds like crap, if you are driving with the windows down you can barely hear it. I am waiting on my front struts to come in and then when they are changing them I will have them check it out.

I have the same issue and noticed it only happens when on certain radio stations that are listed as HD and when the channel is "buffering". No idea how to get it to stop other than get on non HD channels.

I too have this problem on my 2019 classic. It is maddening. It usually happens when sitting idle. I will be watching to see if anyone finds a solution.
