Has any one had issues with the radio in their 2014 ram 2500. Mine is not taking a update and the dealership is saying the radio my be toast.

I take it you have a "Uconnect" radio ? If so there has been a lot of issues and discussions about them. I for one had problems with the NAV system on mine. You can search this forum and find a lot of information for whatever radio you have.

I have just gone thru a similar issue. First the GPS quit working, was told I needed to get an update to the Radio to fix the problem. The radio update would not take so the dealer said I need a new radio, at a cost of the $880. Are there any options without spending $880.00?

I removed my radio and sent it to a company for repairs at a fraction of what the dealer wanted. They were

Have problems with mine 8.4 radio no audio they put a used refubished unit in my truck 3 times bringing it back and forth they just play games no help 2016 ram 1500 larime 13000 miles on it and its in the dealer as I write this I feel ripped off they are not doing nothing but given me lip service

This is crazy we spend good money for our Rams and as myself a retired Vet don't have the $1800.00 to replace a radio unfortunately these radios control more the just the radio. I know mine controls my A/C and phone and so on. Being I live in Arizona A/C is a must. I feel if it's a program issue and it is so wide spread that Dodge or the radio manufacturers should do the right thing for the customers. Dodge to recalls all the time what is this any different. I wonder do the other HD truck manufacturers have similar issues.

They know they have a problem with this brand thats why the moved to another company for the 2019 rams and we are stuck with crap and we dont know if its true what they tell us

MY truck still in dealer they are fixing the wheel flares that are messed up but as for the radio nothing they say cant reproduce the same problem so its the old run around they put a used refurbished 8.4 unit in place of a new factory radio and it does not work audio went out 26 times in five miles on in one day

Just had mine replaced yesterday so far its working but don't know how long they use refurbished radios to put back in the truck why don't they put a brand new one in that's what I paid for 8.4 nav not a used radio also it came out of a 2016 jeep wrangler bunch of crap

i Have a 2014 Ram. My screen went out. I took it to Kings Dodge in Cinn. They tell me the radio is out and has to be replaced. Price is $860. Will take 3 to 4 days to get the new one. They do not stock radios. I guess the radio drives the cameras and navigation. Heater still works but can not get the vent through the middle to work.
