Set the story up. Your response. Spent a couple of hours cleaning my truck. Went to a fire work show. Parked on the side of the road straddling a grass drainage ditch. Now there is an obvious hole in front of my truck soft wet muck. My fault for making the assumption that no one would try to park in front of me. Behind me is a row of lifted trucks. Spent the day at the park, went by my truck multiple times no issues. After the show go to my truck and find it like this!! Some ass hat in a Jeep Compass tried parking in front of me in the hole and apparently couldn't get out. Burried to the frame off camber. Mad as hell, douche could have at least left a note. However the mud does look kinda BA.

I would be pissed after spending a lot of time cleaning the truck up, but on the same note, both my trucks usually stay covered in mud. But most of mine comes from driving they fields at my farm

What would the note say, "sorry. I kicked up some mud on your truck, call me and I will pay for a detail". If the truck wasn't physically damaged its ok to be a bit mad long as you come to the realization its just dirt and not worth losing sleep over.

Yeah, it would annoy the crap outta me too. But I also won't park beside a mud puddle right after cleaning my vehicle. (Well really, never) I guess I learned with my Jeep when offroading, you never park beside the mud.

Iwas a bit bent, not punch in the face mad just irritated. Now if I saw the guy I'd have a few choice words then offer to pull him out for $20 bucks. I'd of told him just because there's a jeep badge on his car doesn't mean he can roll with the big boys.

To most everyone that buys a Jeep - ALL Jeep's = Trail Rated.. lol I just bought my wife a Compass, and being the car guy I am I had to check out their forums, and all I can say is they are nuts! basically this thing is a Dodge Caliber with Jeep badges, and a "Jeep" AWD system, however said system is not a Rubicon or even a Cherokee trail rated capable system (not even the freedom drive II system I would say is "Trail Rated" but they get the badges so whateves..). I find it funny when people get cars like this stuck. Up here in the Northeast we see a lot of dumb people doing things like this in the winter, I will say taking a drive around with a tow strap is an easy way to make a few bucks during a snowstorm..

Anyways, as for betting bent about it, eh.. I guess I would be mad cause I just washed it, but it's a truck.. It looks good covered in mud, especially with your setup.

Yeah, I'd be a little pissed. But, my experience is every time I wash and wax it, it rains, dew deposits overnight and makes the dust stick, a bird leaves a huge **** on my truck, etc, etc. Never fails. I washed mine Friday morning. This morning I noticed a big bird crap that must've hit yesterday while driving cuz it's got a good 5" - 6" smear to it.

It NEVER ends with a black truck

I'd also be checking for damage, if he was spinning his tires that hard, it's possible a few stones went flying into your truck long with the mud too

I washed it yesterday, didn't notice any damage other than the mud stained my fenderflares and front bumper so I have some detailing to do.

That would be my concern.
If no permanent damage, then mark it up as a 'don't park your freshly washed truck next to any mud' lesson from the school of hard knocks,,,

Come to think of it,,, if it was me, even if I parked 100 yards from anyone, I'd still get a layer of 'something' on my truck after attending a public event.

Keepin it parked in the garage is the only way I can keep her clean!!! :roflsquared:

Usually after 2 washes I find that goes away!

I'd be upset... at first. Then upon realizing I've got to wash it, I'd back in against his " Jeep" & just covering it. Then I'd pull in on front of him & cover the front of it. Maybe he'd get the point, maybe not but I'd be grinning the whole night long.
