Ram 1500 2005 4.7l: Need help finding where this tube is supposed to connect to

Changing out the plugs and noticed the tube is loose and I have no idea where it is suppose to connect (The end is split and slipped off). The other end hooks up to the T joint which also hooks up to the air filter box. Thanks!

Not too sure, but it might go to your PCV system/valve.

The other side of the hose goes to the air filter box. The plenum box that feeds the throttle body and sits on top of the engine doesn't have one. The hose in question is outlined in red.

It should connect to the pcv valve on the back side of the valve cover.
There does seem to be year to year, and vehicle to vehicle differences with the 4.7
This diagram should be more accurate.

The PCV valve on this model is located on the oil filler and has it own line going to the back of the intake. I'll look around the valve cover. The inside of the elbow of the tube does have carbon debris and a little melted.
