Anyone know of any cams out there for our 6.4 hemi trucks? After talking to moes performance I'm deff gonna do a 2800/3000 stall next spring and figure while I do that I might aswell do cams if they have one. And yeah a choppy idle with out going to extreme would be sweet too. Thanks for any info.

looks like comp cams offers 3 different grinds and they offer custom grind cams. They will require the COMP Cams phaser limiter or lock kits to limit the degree of maximum cam phasing to 14 crank degrees (7 cam degrees).

Nothing off the shelf specifically for the truck motors. Per Matt's recommendation, was talking with Modern Muscle Performance about a custom grind based on their VVT cam. Very helpful and seemed pretty familiar with the factory cam specs. But once Whipple announced development of a 6.4 Ram kit I put the cam upgrade on hold for now.

Yeah he's got good info. I'd like to see our trucks run to see the difference. Lol, and I'd like to test drive his with that stall converter. I doubt I'll be able to afford a whipple anytime soon. Sounds good but with another kid on the way it's unlikely for a few years

It's only a 5 hr ride to where I live, come on up! :) The biggest difference is how the truck responds from a stop. The stock converter felt dead, almost impossible to launch hard without loading it on the brake. Now, if you hit the gas it just launches. If I did it again I might have gone for the 2800 but was concerned about towing with a higher stall. Regardless, it's still one of my favorite mods.

Regarding the cam, my guess is it's unlikely you are going to gain much/any bottom end with a new cam. At least not enough to notice in a truck this heavy. I'm sure they can provide a considerable gain in the upper ranges, which would be entertaining and worth the effort IMO. But I always felt the Hemi motors were soft on the bottom and the only way to really address that is trans/gears/FI. I priced out gears, but with a Whipple anything above the 4.10's is probably a wasted effort. If I was committed to staying NA, 4.56 gears and a cam would be next on the list. Those along with the headers, tune and converter are really the only other mods your likely to feel any significant gains.

Congrats on the new kid! I have 3 now so fully appreciate how much time and money then can take away from your hobbies:)

I would love to see how your truck runs with the 4.88's. It must be entertaining!

Yeah it is for sure especially if I load it up with the breaks. Think I'm gonna just do the 2800 stall this spring and wait before I do anything else. Thanks for all the wisdom Viking
