I have found some conflicting information.

I have searched and found either 180 ft lbs, or 140 ft lbs... quite a difference.

What is the correct dually, rear wheel torque spec? I have a 3500 dually with steel wheels and flange nuts..

Thanks in advance for any info...

I found the answer to my question..

Safety Recall Y3 / NHTSA 21V-398, dated June 2021.
It basically says the flanged lug nuts, with M-14 x 1.5 studs, with 22mm heads should be torqued to 129 ft-lb (175Nm).

Formerly, Owner's manuals called for 140 ft-lb. for flanged lug nuts, and User Guides called for 130-160 ft-lb.

I called my selling dealer's Service Department. They told me the 2023 Ram 3500 Dual rear wheel lug nuts should be torqued to 130 ft-lb.

I downloaded the Owner's Manual for my truck and this page reflected what the 2021 Safety Recall established. So apparently nothing has changed since 2021.

I can see where the internet sources (AI included) came up with the 140 ft-lb for single rear wheels, but I have no idea where they got 180 ft-lb for dual rear wheels..

I'm glad I checked
