Hello All:
Former Ram owner, now have a 15 GMC DMax. I'm thinking about going back to Ram.
I'm wondering about whatever Ram has for a driver information system -- my GMC displays all kinds of 'warnings' from low tire pressure to alerts if I approach another vehicle too fast, etc.
BEGIN RANT:
I absolutely hate the GM DIC (Driver Information Control) system. Everytime I get a warning, say, low tire pressure (at 59 PSI), it displays the warning with a 'DISMISS' option -- problem is, once I dismiss the warning, it pops back up every 30 seconds or so. This is typical with any type of warning. So if I CHOOSE to drive with 59 PSI in my rear tires, the wife, er, DIC, nags at me constantly throughout what may be an hour commute to work. And I can't shut it up. :****:
I also can SEE the cars in front of me and have been driving for nigh on to 50 years and don't need to be 'warned' I'm approaching too fast...
END RANT
So, I'd like to know if Ram has a similar system and whether or not any 'warnings' can be disabled (or at least muted.)
I'm the type who LOATHES being required to update my phone/tablet/laptop/stereo receiver, etc. And I even work in the technology field...
Thanks in advance,
Mark
