Hello all, so it has come to the point where it is time to buy a new truck. Ive always been a die hard gm fan but as of late the interior of there trucks have been dissapointing so i looked to the "dark side" and have fallen in love with the ram! Originally i looked at the express but coming from a loaded 04 silverado there were little interior pieces I would miss now that ive been spoiled. Thus its turned my attention to the ram sport and with it ihave some questions i was hoping you guys might help me answer. Here is a link to the truck in mind truck i had in mind.

2012 Ram 1500 4WD Crew Cab 140.5 Sport For Sale | Burnsville MN .

Do you guys think $34500 is a good price? I also get a deal from work that gives me the price 1% under factory invoice then whatever factor and dealer incentives there are. Basically do you think i would be able to haggle them down some more? they have 4 or 5 more of the same model at that price. Thanks for any input! (this will be my first purchase of a completely new vehicle from a dealer)

welcome to RF

I'm sure there have been better deals out there, but to me that seems like a pretty good deal for a loaded crew cab.

I see he's from Canada.

Trucks are stupid expensive up here.

You can pretty much add a minimum of 15,000 dollars to any truck you find in the states and that's how much it'll sell for up here.

OHH lol I didnt notice that...That's still a crazy amount. I'd drive south and purchase if possible..haha

x2 - get the truck you want or you'll find yourself looking for a new truck or else you'll be driving a truck you don't like.

My first Ram was a '94 Sport model.

I can tell you if I could've gotten a Sport for that price when I bought my truck I would've been all over it. Try to haggle if you can. If I were you I'd tell them you're not buying the truck without some aftermarket accessories. You'd be surprised what they will throw in to make a deal. I got my Access tonneau cover and a Linex spray in liner for free when I bought my SLT Quad.

FOr those of you who want it cheaper, screw you, that makes the value of our trucks go down.

Yupp! Our trucks depreciate so badly because of all the rebates when new. Even below kbb and nada value. Like I can't even trade in my truck for the $25k trade in value because dealerships are selling them brand new for around that

Nothing worse than not getting what you want and having to make monthly payments on it.

Get the model you'll be happy with-seems like the sport. I've made the mistake of buying something just cause it was alittle cheaper but not truly what I wanted. Happen earlier this year, then bought my bighorn 4wd. As stated, these things lose so much value immediately anyways.
