Not that work as well as the long dopey looking one. I tried the "stubby" antenna, but it didn't work well at all if you like to listen to broadcast radio. I ended up switching to a cheap black metal antenna that looks much better and works almost as well.

Some guys have just cut the stock antenna down. Do a search on here. There are some threads about it.

I've got the same one on my 1500. The only station I have a hard time picking up with a strong signal is the one I listen to the most, BUT that station is nearly 80 miles away, and I live in a river valley, so that loss is to be expected. When I head 5~10 miles closer to the signal, its perfect. All the other, more local stations come thru crystal clear.

I bought a ten dollar autozone special and am liking it. No reception issues although I don't listen to am radio. Fm is just fine. Pics in my album.

i like the stock antenna, it actually brings in stations i never even knew existed before. only complaint is that it is kinda big and i've had it catch on tree branches a few times but doesn't seem to hurt it

I tried those short antennas on my F150 and on my 2014 RAM Sport...the reception SUCKED! I ended up going back to the oem antenna. The thing I hated about my oem antenna was that it was silver on a black truck. I painted it black and it looks a lot better.
