i love my rambox ram but getting into the bed was a big hassle since there is nothing to grab onto to pull yourself up. i know i know most people wont have any issue because they are young and limber but for the older less limber of us, has anyone else wondered what would make getting in the bed easier?

you could buy a hitch step or there's steps you can put on the side but they usually require drilling

im looking at the step a bit more. in the meantime i made an "S" shaped bar that goes behind the latch post and the bottom post for the bed extender so i can pull myself up. works really well. i like the step idea but am wondering what to hold onto cause there isnt anything on the rambox like on a normal bed you have the hole to grab into

anyway the bar i made is shaped like the "S" in the name of the band KISS if you can imagine.

in case someone needs assistance but doesnt want to spend much to achieve the help getting in their bed.

My 2013 1500 had the Ramboxes, and there was a rail that ran the length of the inside of the bed for cargo tiedowns. I'd grab that, but I am tall. Don't know if that'd work for you too.

I got my Amp Research Bed Step for my 1500 and when I traded it for the 2500 I took it off and installed it on the 2500. It still works like a charm. I wouldn't have another truck without one. Besides, with my truck lifted the taiilgate lowered is about at my chest. I have had back surgery so it's the only way I can get into my bed without looking like an idiot.
