Rambox Cracks

Hello everyone,
I have a 2016 Ram Limited with the optional Rambox Storage System. The plastic/ fiberglass panel with button/key hole to unlock it starting to crack under the lock. Is anyone else experiencing this? I brought it to the attention of a local dealer and their response was I must have damaged the panel. It is happening to both of my Rambox lids.

Mine are doing it also and have had the cracks since I got it with 4000 miles. I need to mention it next time I go in, but wondering if they order new lids or what. Mine have not been abused by any means either. It is not a work truck, and only open them once in a while.

Seems to be an issue

I have seen this on some used 2016 ram rebels - two different trucks - cracks at the 6 O'clock position just under the button

ram boxes have been issue since they introduced. Either cracking,warping,stuck closed or start to leak after a few years

Luckily I rarely use them and from my lack of use I do not expect to crack, they have not leaked so I guess I should be content. For the price I paid for them I expect them to last and not crack at 6 o'clock with marginal use. The fact that the dealer said I must have broken them really annoyed me as I take great care of my truck inside and out.

Thats weird. Mine is a 2014, and no cracks at all. They also only leak under high pressure wash, and only slightly. I love them, don't think I'd ever buy another Ram without them.

If the first thing your dealer does is accuse you of abusing them, when its both sides, sounds to me like its time to take your business elsewhere.

I managed to go to another dealer for my rambox cracks and they too were not helpful. How is it that it both can crack and 2 different dealership are unwilling to help?

Warranty paid for it.

I tried to get them to do it under the warranty and I am meeting a lot of opposition.

Then go to a third dealer, I hate to say. There are a lot of bad dealers in some areas.

Not sure if it would help or not, but alternatively you could try to open a case with FCA directly, but they may just say "take it to your nearest FCA dealership."

Not sure about FCA but both Ford ans Chevy reps said this... I actually had Chevy call one dealer while I was on the phone and I was like WTF are you doing I just told you the dealer is the problem

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel, and had my RamBox Lids replaced about a year ago with cracks on each side. Now I am out of warranty and the drivers side is cracking again! I brought it in twice and they keep telling me they need to contact the manufacturer to see if it is covered. Then they never get back to me with an answer! This is very frustrating, the dealer keeps giving me the run around. Dealer is

Has anyone had this problem?
Isn't body shop repairs guaranteed for life ?

My 2017 ram box is cracking around the latch button .
Dealership says it's not covered.
I am one of the thousands that had the dash fall out of my 2001 Dodge.
Not a happy camper.
So this is a repeat of the dashes?
