You sure it wasn't a 300,they would be quick in a light Falcon, lol.
LOL..... A 300 would have had the back two cylinders sitting beside me, and the carb sticking through the hood.
The 250 was the same block as a 170 and 200.

I knew of a 72 Comet with a 300 stuck in it,and it actually looked like it wasn't that hard of a swap. The car used to show up at car shows back in the early 80's,i never did ask the owner what kind of job it was to get the 300 into it,as back then,if it didn't have a big block,i usually wasn't all that interested in it,lol. The early Comet's engine bay i don't think was much differant then the later Falcons engine bay.LOL..... The early 70's Torino Sports were a sharp looking car to. One of the guys i raced motocross with, his older brother had a 72 Sport with the 351 Cobra Jet and 4 speed, and it was pretty quick. He'd stuffed a Crane cam in it with an aluminium intake and long tubes on it,and the car was a hell'va tire spinner. It was white with the ram air hood and air cleaner set-up,have to admit it was pretty easy to look at.If I was a chevy guy it would be the nova.
