Random Text messaging 2016 Ram 1500

When I am driving/in vehicle I will get screen and verbal notifications on a incoming text. The problem is Most of the random are from over 6 months ago in my text log, from people that didn't even text that day. The only way I can tell is when I hit the listen button its random and it's not even on the top of my actual phone text. Is this a software issue.

It is most likely a phone setting. I used to have an issue where, when connecting to my truck's Android Auto I would get every Ring and text message notification even though I had already viewed in my house. So I would hear a dozen or so "dings". I reset some phone settings and it ended.
