Oh ****, I forgot about Fleetwood Mac, that's a great idea E!!! Gotta get a live one... What's a good live album???

Try the "rumors- super delux" album. Plenty of live and pre recorded stuff. The live songs image so well. You could pin point where everyone is on the stage like u were there.

Lol forgot about rumours damn... Oh pink Floyd has got to be my favorite album to listen to as it shows the strength of the L3s and dyns. My sub's on the other hand are very much the weak point so I had to get the BM's.

Well guys I had a long discussion with my wife and we decided that our hobbies and spending habits will have to be trimmed back because in the next year we would like to buy a house. I will be listing some stuff for sale like my Hertz ML1600 mids, a JL 10W7, and my Stereo Integrity BM mkIV's which are spoken for right now but bills have to get paid. If anyone is interested PM me and I'll let you know more details.

Funny thing I didn't realize how tied together the stock speakers are, today I went to put JBL's 3.5 coaxials in my dash and low and behold you need the door speakers as well to make them work. Or at least you need to put a jumper in the doors to complete the connection.

Well not in my ram but I have been working on my daily driver and I would like to share what I have going on with that. This is a budget build and I will try to total up the parts the best I can for you guys.
97 Acura CL
Head unit- Clarion CZ702-$108
Front speakers- HAT Imagine 6.5 convertible coaxial ran active- $50(got a ridiculous deal on these with a trade)
Subwoofer- Stereo Integrity 12 Magv3 re-release- $190
Amp- Audio Systems 70.6 6 ch amp running whole system-$275
Amp Wire- T-spec V10 0/1 awg ofc - $70
6 ch RCA- Stinger 8000 series- $80
Miscellaneous- $100
As you can see I am well under $1K with quality equipment. When I get some time I will upload some pictures.
So first impressions with everything installed.
If you want to dive into an active system on the cheap get the CZ702 as it is pretty simple and has a decent 5 band parametric EQ and zero floor noise in my application.
The HAT's these things are down right righteous for 6.5s, my doors aren't completely sealed and they hit down to 80hz no problem and with some authority. I think they would be awesome in the Ram as you can get a better seal on the doors. Next thing about them is they play high so well like I have mine xover at 4k and they are smooth as butter. The tweeter is there for airiness and can get a little harsh but not bad at all. All in all would I pay MSRP for them? No probably not but they are good enough to if I found a set for $50 off MSRP I would absolutely pick them up.
Subwoofer, what can I say its Stereo Integrity Nick makes some awesome subwoofers and this one doesn't disappoint. I have it in a 1.75 cube box tuned to 33hz off of 380w rms and the thing just boogies I mean really gets down on such little power. Also for being in a ported box it still has that tight sound of a sealed enclosure, time will tell when it breaks in more how well it keeps that sound. So far $190 well spent and reminds me about everything I like about a JL 12W6v2 that I had back in the day.
The amp, German engineering, runs my whole system and doesn't make anything sound harsh or bright. What else can you ask out of an amp? So far I haven't noticed it getting hot or anything like that and is pretty easy to wire and setup. If you can find one used pick it up. Gladen makes this amp now and I would expect the same quality out if it that I have with the Audio Systems version.
If you guys are curious about anything else let me know and I'll provide all the information I can.
BTW this rivals the sound in my truck easily so great SQ can be had on the cheap.

Don't hate on the tweeter pods please, it was the first time I really tried fiberglassing and finishing something like that.

U build those sail panels in the dark or something? Sheesh, terrible.

Lol, jk..... The sails came out good dude. They're not as easy as it seems but u did a nice job. Are u running rear fill, or just the front components? Always wondered how properly time aligned and eq'do rear fill sounded. Thinking about trying it in my next whip.
