Funny thing I didn't realize how tied together the stock speakers are, today I went to put JBL's 3.5 coaxials in my dash and low and behold you need the door speakers as well to make them work. Or at least you need to put a jumper in the doors to complete the connection.

What do you mean by this? I have a '15 with Alpine. Is it that way as well? I was planning to do front door speakers eventually but dash speakers first.

I mean you have to have a speaker connected in the door to get sound out of the one in the dash, but now that I think about I may have the wires from behind my head unit ran somewhere else.

With my XBL tweets and Hertz Millies I wanted to get a nice amp that I could tune as well. Just so happens that my birthday is coming up and this came on the market from a member on DIYMA that had almost no hrs on it.

Booooom!!!

3 way active?

Nah simple 2way for now and add a sub down the road. My idea is to use the built in dsp on the 120.4 for all the processing, which the amp should be here today!!!!
BTW those giant tweets will play down to 1200hz on a 24db xover on 150w :jawdrop:

So few things I got rolling on today. PVC works great for making small brackets.

Well to add onto the list of stuff my wife is going to kill me for I just picked up a AVH-X4700BS - NEW! - DVD Receiver with 7" Motorized Display, Bluetooth®, Siri® Eyes Free, SiriusXM-Ready™, Android™ Music Support, and Pandora® | Pioneer Electronics USA I really want to give the speakers and amp the best signal I can without spending over $500 on signal source. I think in the end I will have a Mosconi One 240.2 running a Stereo Integrity 12Mag v3 as the one in my daily is kicking the crap out of my car on 380wrms.
