Power doesn't have to be everything in a home setup, if you have the room. The BEST sub I have ever seen/heard, was a Kicker 18, and this was years ago, in a box based on a Klipsch/folded horn design-homebuilt box, that probably had 8-10 ft/3 of airspace combined with all of the chambers. If you didn't know it was the sub, you would never pick it out. This thing would rattle your teeth, while being completely unplaceable audibly, and was on about 300 watts.
Nope power isn't everything but planning a theater in next couple of years and we want to be able to pressurize a room so the crown makes that possible with sub's.

Well thanks to Bradknob and DavidRam for their very insightful posts about the Stereo Integrity BM mkIV, I am the new proud owner of 2 of them. Once I get them in my hands I will unbox and show everyone some shallow mount goodness and compare them to a little more average shallow mount sub like my Skar VD10's.

Seriously, I was so excited when I got mine, IIRC I spooned them the first night!

Welcome to legion of up front boom!

No **** bro!!!
I was sitting in my truck when I pulled into work this morning, listening to a song that has a nice bass thump. The "thump" came directly from the windshield! ******* cool as hell!

It's actually a little mind boggling for me how that's possible... I have two subs behind my seats, facing the seats and somehow the bass is coming from the windshield?!?! Por que???

Lol. And when I turn around to look at the subs, the sound is behind you. Like the subs aren't even doing anything. **** still blows my mind too. Love looking at people's expressions when all of a Sudden it sounds like someone is pounding on the windshield.

I know it's not ur style of music but try this one out...

I'll check it out, my "style" of music is expanding... :)

You can stare right at the subs and the bass is still coming from the windshield. I think they are ventriloquists!

I agree, since getting into the sq part of this hobby my musical taste has broadened tremendously.

I meantt that Emmure is something that %98 of people dont listen to. It makes small children cry and innocent women run for church. And after that first minute of that song, it really doesn't sound that great. As with most metal, it just seems poorly recorded.

Yep, the first part of that song was awesome. The rest sounded like the devil called and I had him on speaker phone, lol!

Same here... Don't know if you read this, but I bought my first classical cd EVER! Angela's Ashes soundtrack composed by John Williams (had to order a special recording from England). I also just ordered Chris Jones - Roadhouses & Automobiles. I have heard that this cd's recording is one of the best and it makes for an awesome sound quality demo. :naughty:
I couldn't find it for sale in the US and had to order it from Germany.
