Has anyone rewired the high beams so the fog lights stay on? If I hit the flash switch it follows my desired behavior.

Be aware, that is illegal (at least is in Virginia), I failed a state inspection because my fog lights stayed on when they checked my high beams. From 2008 to 2016, never failed an inspection and then I went to a different inspection station 2017 and they failed it.Has anyone rewired the high beams so the fog lights stay on? Are you sure? This would be useful in other ways too.Look info Alfa obd. No wire hacking required.
Absolutely. You can also Change to led/hid lights without the Goofy aftermarket harnesses. Add factory things to your vehicle like backup cams and stuff like that which would normally be a $100+ dealer visit for a reflash. Are you sure? This would be useful in other ways too.

That almost makes sense but it doesn’t. Fogs have cutoffs. It’s required in order for them to pass DOT testing for road safety. If they were not safe for road use they would not be allowed on vehicles and would not be installed by manufacturers. Maybe older vehicle fog lights were worse but technology is much improved.Just make sure you aim your fog lights properly or you might get some irate oncoming traffic. I see more mis-aimed ones than properly aimed ones. My buddy was a cop and back in the day you could do ride-a-longs pretty easily. Equipment violations like that really annoyed him since it caused a hazard to other drivers. Plus it was a great "reasonable cause" to pull someone over and write other violations. Also, fogs have no sharp top cut-off that is why it is illegal in many states to have them on with the high beams because even when carefully aimed they can throw too much light up high.

Im sure a lot of people with lifted or leveled trucks forget to re-aim the headlights and fog lights. I’ve readjusted both on my truck. Plus I’m running pod lights for my fog lights. They are SAE/DOT approved lights for use as on road fog lights.Yes, I see what you mean re: vertical cutoff. Then perhaps the folks that nearly blind me (and use to annoy my friend) and other drivers are not using fog lamps and / or do not have them aimed properly.
